Thanksgiving is more than appreciation for what we have, a food feast, football and Black Friday strategies. There are other great fun-filled and festive things that you can do in Atlanta on Thanksgiving Day that brings loved ones together and creates great memories. Here is information on two of our favorite Thanksgiving Day Events. 2014 Atlanta Half Marathon and Thanksgiving Day 5K Organized by the Atlanta Track Club, the Atlanta Half Marathon and Thanksgiving Day 5K run/walk is an Atlanta tradition. Thousands of participants and volunteers take part in this event that also includes the Mashed Potato Mile Kids’ Fun Run and the Gravy Gallop.
